Beth Szweda, Founder
While attending Indiana University South Bend, Beth launched her career as a deputy assessor. She served the taxpayers of St. Joseph County for ten years, rising to the position of Chief Deputy Assessor. While there, she worked hard and earned her Level II Indiana Assessor/Appraiser Certification. She went on to become one of the first people in the state to earn the newly implemented Level III Indiana Assessor/Appraiser Certification.
Private Sector Work
Beth later went on to work in the private sector, where she worked as a tax consultant for a large consulting firm. Within her first two years, she saved the firm's clients over $1 million in tax dollars. Beth realized she had a knack for saving people money and a passion for it.
Starting A New Company
In 2009, Beth launched Correct Property Tax LLC, which enabled her to serve the needs of all Indiana property owners. Correct Property Tax offers services to more significant commercial and industrial properties and small, underserved commercial and residential property owners.
Success and Memberships
Over the years, Beth has filed and won property tax appeals for hundreds of properties, saving Indiana taxpayers thousands of dollars. Throughout her career, she has worked with a diverse selection of clients. Her success derives from her commitment to continuing education and a genuine desire to help people save money and serve our community.
Beth is also a founding member and sits on the Board of Directors of Recover Michiana Fest. RMF focuses on providing resources and support to individuals and families struggling with substance abuse.
Family and Hobbies
Beth is the mother of Jillian and Joe. Together, they created the Szweda Scholarship for graduating seniors who have lost a parent to substance abuse disorder. She enjoys skiing, hiking, gardening, and traveling with her family in her spare time.
